Comfort and accuracy is a high priority in every dental procedure we do. When you come to our office for teeth extractions in our Jensen Beach dental office, we make sure that you feel comfortable throughout treatment and the healing process.
Wisdom Tooth Extractions
When having your wisdom teeth evaluated, or looking for answers when it comes to your teen child, we approach wisdom teeth in a reliable and predictable way.
We start with a complete evaluation of your teeth and bone to determine if your wisdom teeth will become problematic or affect the appearance of your smile. If Dr. Wigley determines that your wisdom teeth do not have enough room to erupt properly, we will begin planning for their removal. Waiting for too long can cause pain, overcrowding, and bone problems.
By taking a panoramic x-ray, we can precisely plan the entire procedure before we begin.
Your Extraction Appointment
We start by making sure that you feel completely comfortable before beginning any treatment. If your teeth have not erupted through your gums, they are impacted and you may require stitches after we remove your teeth. This is not a big deal and will not adversely affect the healing process as long as you follow aftercare instructions.
When you have your teeth extracted, your anesthetic will last for a while past your appointment. Make sure to take any pain medication as Dr. Wigley directs because it will help you have a more comfortable experience.
Gently clean the area by rinsing and avoid chewing on your extraction site. We will have you back to the office for a follow-up appointment to monitor healing. In most cases, your mouth will heal completely within a week or two, but you will feel significantly better within a couple of days.
